On 30 October 2026 we asked ChatGPT 10 questions and Claude 9 questions that a Singapore business owner might ask when they want help showing up in AI answers. We asked things like "best AEO agency in Singapore" and "who can help my small business show up in ChatGPT answers in Singapore?" This page lists who the two tools named, where they got their facts, and what to ask before you hire anyone.
A quick note on words. AEO is short for answer engine optimisation, which means getting your business named when someone asks an AI tool like ChatGPT for a recommendation. Some agencies call the same work GEO or AI search optimisation.
Who did ChatGPT and Claude name most often?
Thirteen of the 19 answers named at least one business. Four agencies came up again and again:
| Business | Answers that named it (out of 19) |
|---|---|
| Hashmeta | 7 |
| Stridec | 6 |
| Impossible Marketing | 6 |
| OOm | 5 |
Others were named at least once, including MediaOne, First Page Digital, Verz Design, Addure, Harvest SEO, Aemorph, PULSE Digital, OC Digital, Addlly AI, Magnified, Coalessa and NavRai.
The six answers to "how do I" questions named nobody at all. They gave advice instead, and ChatGPT ended four of its answers by offering to do the check for the owner itself.
Growth Pigeon, the company writing this page, was named in none of the 19 answers. We are publishing that because it is where we start, and we will ask the same questions again each month.
Why did those agencies get named?
Each one gave the AI tools plain facts to repeat. Stridec was named six times, and every time the answer quoted its published monthly packages and its written method. Hashmeta publishes its own guides and a 2026 report on AI search in Singapore, and Claude used those pages as sources. Impossible Marketing has a page for this one service, and ChatGPT showed its map listing with a 4.9 rating from 208 reviews.
The lesson for any business is the same. The AI tools name the firms that state clearly what they do, what it costs and what other people say about them.
Where did ChatGPT and Claude get their answers?
Mostly from "best agencies in Singapore" lists, and most of those lists are written by agencies about themselves. In our test:
- Verz Design's website was used in 5 of Claude's answers.
- A comparison of 17 Singapore agencies by Synapse Arrows was used in 4 of ChatGPT's answers.
- Lists published by AppLabx, GenOptima and Hashmeta were each used in 3.
- Stridec's own website was used for 2 of the questions and Impossible Marketing's for 3.
Both tools warned owners about this. They said most Singapore rankings put the writer's own agency first, and told owners to ask for proof before hiring.
What does it cost to hire someone in Singapore?
In our test, ChatGPT said Singapore agencies charge about S$1,300 to S$8,000 a month for this work. It quoted Stridec's packages at S$2,500, S$4,500 and S$8,000 a month, and Claude put Hashmeta at S$2,000 to S$6,700 a month. These are the prices the AI tools gave on that day. We have not checked them with the agencies, so ask each one for a quote in writing.
Software is cheaper but you do the reading yourself. Otterly.AI's Lite plan is listed at US$29 a month for 15 questions. For the full breakdown, read how much it costs to get recommended by ChatGPT in Singapore.
What should I ask before I hire anyone?
These five questions sort the useful offers from the vague ones:
- "Can you show me what ChatGPT says when my customers ask, before I pay?" Anyone who does this work can show you in a few minutes.
- "Which questions will you check each month, and can I add my own?" You know what your customers ask better than any agency.
- "Who makes the changes: you, me or my web person?" Some offers include the work. Others only tell you what to do.
- "Can I see results for a business like mine, with its name on it?" Before and after numbers beat a logo wall.
- "What is the price in writing, and how long is the minimum term?" A clear price is a good sign in itself.
Be wary of anyone who promises the top spot. Nobody controls what ChatGPT says, and the names in an answer can change from one ask to the next.
Where does Growth Pigeon fit?
Growth Pigeon is a service in Singapore run by two people, Mark Ashworth and Stephanie Simmonds. We check whether ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini name your business when your customers ask, then tell you what to change. A person runs every check. We do not build websites or write your content, so you or your web person make the changes.
- Free audit: results within 24 hours, and nobody calls you. Start it here.
- Monthly plan: US$149 a month after a US$100 setup, 3 months minimum. See what is included.
- Who it suits: firms with 1 to 50 staff that people look up before they call, such as law firms, clinics, accountants, schools and training providers.
If you want an agency to do all the work for you, one of the agencies above will suit you better. If you want to know where you stand each month, in plain English, for a fixed price, that is what we do. You can see real checks on real businesses on our reports page.
FAQ
Who is the best "AEO agency" in Singapore?
There is no single answer. In our test on 30 October 2026, ChatGPT and Claude named Hashmeta, Stridec, Impossible Marketing and OOm most often. The best one for you is the one that shows you your own results before you pay and gives you a price in writing.
Is there a cheaper option than an agency?
Yes. Software tools start at about US$29 a month, but you read the results and decide the fixes yourself. Growth Pigeon is a person-run check at US$149 a month after a US$100 setup, with a free audit first.
Can I trust the "top 10 agencies in Singapore" lists?
Read them with care. Many are written by an agency that ranks itself first. Both ChatGPT and Claude said this in our test, and told owners to ask for before and after proof.
Why was Growth Pigeon not named?
Because no list or comparison page the AI tools read mentioned us on 30 October 2026, and our own pages did not yet state our price and free audit plainly. We have fixed our pages and will publish what changes when we check again.
How often do these answers change?
The names can change from one ask to the next, and the sources change as new pages go up. Treat any single check as a starting point and check again each month.
